The Mortgage Mess: it’s affecting You… and Me!

I’ll certainly be talking about this subject more, as the mortgage mess facing our country, some 67,000 Nevadans so far this year, which includes me, continues to be be at the forefront of our economy.

Though there are sparks here and there in both the national housing outlook, and some of our specific real estate markets, such as today’s US Consumer Confidence reports (article about that here), I though you might appreciate seeing this article, "Underwater Mortgages Mount," found in the Las Vegas Sun.

The article states that "more than 80 percent of the homes bought in Las Vegas from 2005 to 2007 are underwater," which means the value of the home is less than the mortgage on it.
